1. Submitting False Reports
Examples:
Reporting a fake lost item
Reporting a found item that does not exist
Claiming an item without being the rightful owner
Penalty:
First offense: Warning + report deletion
Second offense: Temporary suspension of access (1–2 weeks)
Third offense: Formal report to Student Affairs Office + possible disciplinary action.
2. Attempting to Claim Items That Do Not Belong to You
Penalty:
Immediate suspension of account
Mandatory appearance before Student Affairs and Services Office
Possible misconduct record (depending on campus rules)
3. Providing Fraudulent Proof of Identity
Penalty:
Automatic rejection of claim
Access revocation
Formal investigation for dishonesty under school policy
4. Tampering With or Stealing Items in Custody
Penalty:
Permanent ban from system
Reporting to campus security
Possible administrative or legal action depending on severity
5. System Misuse
Examples:
Attempting unauthorized access
Spamming multiple irrelevant reports
Uploading inappropriate or harmful content
Penalty:
Account suspension
IT incident report
Further disciplinary action as needed
6. Failure to Pick Up Claimed Item
Items must be picked up within 3–5 days after claim approval.
Unclaimed items will be returned to the storage queue.
Repeated failure may reduce claim priority.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
PING2RETRIEVE: The Campus Lost and Found System is provided to help students, faculty, and staff report, track, and claim lost or found items within the campus. The System aims to ensure transparency, efficiency, and fairness in the handling of personal belongings.
1. USER RESPONSIBILITIES
Users must provide accurate and truthful information when reporting or claiming items.
Users must only submit reports for items actually lost or found within campus.
Users agree to respond promptly when contacted by administrators regarding verification.
Users must respect the system and its processes and must not submit duplicate, false, or misleading reports.
Claimants must provide valid proof of ownership (ID, description, photos, receipts, etc.).
2. ADMINISTRATOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrators must verify item reports and claims based on established guidelines.
Items found will be securely stored for a specified period (e.g., 30–60 days) before being archived, donated, or disposed of following campus policy.
Administrators will maintain transparency and fairness when handling disputes or multiple claimants.
3. CLAIMING PROCESS
A user must file a Claim Request for any item they wish to claim.
All claims undergo verification by the admin.
Items marked as “Claimed” will be moved to the archive and cannot be claimed again.
False claims or attempts to claim others’ belongings are strictly prohibited.
4. DATA PRIVACY
Personal information collected through the system will be used solely for verification and documentation.
No data will be shared with unauthorized individuals.
Users must avoid posting sensitive personal details in item descriptions.
5. LIMITATION AND LIABILITY
The campus and system administrators are not liable for:
Lost items that are not found
Items damaged prior to being submitted
Incorrect or incomplete report information provided by users
The campus only acts as a custodian and does not guarantee item recovery.
6. SYSTEM USAGE
Users must not attempt to exploit, hack, tamper, or misuse the Lost & Found System.
Any form of spam reporting or malicious use is prohibited.
